Class One News Friday 9th October
This week in Class One, we began thinking about our new topic, 'People Who Help Us'. We have been talking about the jobs of people at school and in the community who help us in our day to day lives. We decided to change our role-play area into a space where we could act out the roles of those who help us. As the children had enjoyed playing with our 'Small World' hospital so much last week, we all agreed to turn the Three Bears' Cottage into a Hospital! We talked about the types of people who would work in a hospital and looked at the various tools and equipment and medicines that they would need to use. We also made collage Humpty Dumpties and talked about him going to a hospital to be mended! As you can see, the children have been having no shortage of fun playing in our new area!
(The Reception children have all brought a sheet home to explain how we encourage them to hold a pencil and a triangular shaped pencil to keep at home).
