Good morning Class1 !!
I hope you all had fun in the snow yesterday !!
I hope you were able to join me for todays' story . It was The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Nursery and Reception Literacy
Can you draw a picture of somthing that happens in the story .Tell your grown up what you have drawn . You could try re-telling the story if you have a copy of the story at home . Perhaps you could draw the goats or the troll ?
Reception , if you are feeling clever you could draw 3 pictures to show what happens at the beginning , middle and end of the story. Can you write 'the troll is bad ' or 'the troll is big ? ' Remember to sound talk each word.You could write it yourself or tell your grown up which sounds you can hear in each word.
Maths Reception
Get out the number 2 formation sheet from your maths pack and complete it please.

Can you use your number cards to 10 . Pick a number and try counting backwards from that number . Try with lots of differnt cards.
Find 10 teddies or toy animals or people . Hide them under a blanket and then take one away . Do you know how many teddies or toys you will have left under the blanket ? How would you check if you are right ? Use your cards , pick a card and count that number of toys out to hide under your blanket this time and take one away like you did before . How many will you have left ? Try with different numbercards .
Maths Nursery
Can you find a cuddly toy ? Can you find one that is smaller than the one you picked ? Can you find one that is bigger than the one you picked ? Can you use the words smaller than and bigger than ?
Perhaps you used some of those words when you talked about the story this morning ?
Practise counting to 10 . You could different voices each time you practise ! You could have a cross voice like a troll or a little voice like the little billy goat .
Fun Activity
Ask Mummy or Daddy if you can help bake something delicious for the weekend !
Or you could help to set the table and make tea .
