Teams chat at 10 o'clock

Our Teams chat this morning is at 10 o'clock. Y2s please bring white board/laminated sheet + white board pen.

Morning work

Practice writing the capital letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, M, O. You can use your whiteboard pens on the laminated letter formation sheet. Where do capial letters start?

Challenge:
1) Write the capital letters in your home school book. Can you remember how to form them correctly?
2) Think of a name beginning with each of the capital letters and write that name. Remember you don't join capital letters.

English

What super stories you sent me yesterday!

Whenever I am choosing a book I always look at the front cover to find out what it is called and see if there is a picture to give me some idea of what the book is about.

Can I design and draw a front cover?
Today I would like you to design and draw the front cover for the dinosaur story you finished yesterday. Think about a name for your story and a picture that will give the reader some clues about the story (but don't tell them the ending!)

Challenge: Think of some sentences that could go on the back cover that might persuade someone to read your story.

Y1 Maths
Can I count groups and say how many in each group?
Have a go at these questions. We will go through them together in the video below.

Let's go through the questions together.

Now find the booklet called 'Multiplication' and complete the next 2 pages. They have the numbers 39 and 40 at the bottom.

Take a photo of your work and send it to me on your private channel in Teams (or email).

Y2 Maths
Can I use the multiplication symbol 'x' and understand it as 'groups of'?

Let's go through the questions together.

The pages today are in your Blue Maths No Problem book 2A. Please complete pages 75 to 77. You only need to write one equation (number sentence) for each picture on page 77.

Challenge: Write 2 equations for each question on page 77 and draw a new picture for your second equation.

Take a photo of your work and send it to me on your private channel in Teams (or email).
