Morning work

Can you remember how to form the joined up letters    ? Practice on your laminated handwriting sheets and if you feel confident have a go in your home school book. Remember that 'd' is the only tall letter.

Y2 Challenge: Do a whole line of 'c's joined together then a whole line of 'a's then 'd's. Does it make a nice pattern?

English

Complete the first handwriting pattern page in your handwriting book.

Listen carefully to the next part of our book and think about what you are learning about how animals stay cool in the desert.

Can I write a sentence about facts from the book?

What was the most interesting fact that you learnt from the book today? Which was your favourite animal?
Write a sentence to tell me an interesting fact from the book.

Challenge: Write several sentences and tell me why you thought that fact was so interesting.

We spent all last week practicing our handwriting so let's see if you can keep up that beautiful neat work. Y1s you can use joined up formation for c,a,d if you want to.

Take a photo of your work and send it to me on your private channel in Teams (or email).
