Work for Tuesday 31st March 2020

30 Mar 2020

Hi class 3! Hope you had fun designing your zoos yesterday, and thank you for showing me your lovely designs. A big well done too to those of you who went for the challenge and made some very interesting pen/cage designs.

Here is our plan for today.

9 am - Joe Wicks  ( I hope it is easier today, yesterday's really made my legs hurts!)

Maths.

Please go on Rockstar maths and work on your tables. When you have warmed up go on "Soundcheck" at least twice and see if you can beat your scores from before!

When you have done that please look inside your maths pack and there should be a time sheet in there. We haven't looked at time for a while so now would be a good , erm , time , to go over this area again (please could you write your answers in words, eg five past nine, not 9:05 ).  Some of you might have a slightly different set of sheets. If you have then please do the first sheet in you "place value" set instead.

There are also some time challenge cards below for you to try if you to have a go (I've put the answers at the bottom of the page for you to check them too).

Challenge cards!

English

So far we haven't done much grammar work, so we'd better catch up. There should be sheet called "Match the adjective" or "Create the adverb" in your learning pack depending on which pack you have.

If you have "Match the adjective" then follow the instructions and then use these to write 6 good sentences, eg, "The fast, loud jet plane flew quickly through the cloudy sky".

If you are working on "Create the adverb" then follow the spelling pattern and write a sentence for each one. There isn't much room on the sheet so write them in your BLUE book, please. Remember to use expanded noun phrases to make them interesting, and you could even put some fronted adverbials in for bonus points.

After that could you do either 1 Reading Plus , or if you are struggling to log on do some quiet reading with your reading book instead.
We also need to catch up with Wordshark so finish off with 15 minutes on that too.

Hope you have a great day,

Mr G
