So far you have been brilliant at adding money, now it is time to have a go at the inverse, subtracting money.

Challenge sheet

 Year 4

Your maths today is a little bit different again. The Maths No Problem will be asking us to solve some money problems soon, but before we do that I want us to re-visit adding and make sure we are still great at that. Adding is a very important key skill that we need to make sure we remember how to do.

Watch the video below to re-cap how to add, and then complete the sheets.
There is also a challenge sheet to do.

Challenge

In this lesson, we will recap what a simple sentence is and define what a compound sentence is. We will learn what the three coordinating conjunctions are and when to use each one appropriately. We will also practise writing compound sentences using all three coordinating conjunctions. For this lesson, you will need an exercise book or some paper and a pencil.

To explore compound sentences (thenational.academy)

For your evidence today please write 6 compound sentences on your Teams quiz.

Don't forget to write in full sentences with full stops and capital letters, and bonus points for expanded noun phrases too.

If you get stuck, remember to use the video to help you. You could use some of the examples it gives you to help you create your own. Of course, there is nothing to stop you writing your own sentences about anything you want. smiley
