Today for our English we are going to create the opening for our report. For this you will need to create the opening paragraphs, which doesn't sound a lot but it should be long enough to explain about your creature and we are looking for quality too. Today we will need to edit and improve our work and we will be going back and changing and improving words.

You will need to watch the video very carefully, especially the part where he is talking about impriving the quality of what he has written. We have done a lot of work on synonyms (words that mean the same or nearly the same as other words) and expanded noun phrases (using adjective to describe nouns) so please make sure you are adding exciting vocabulary today.

Lots of you wanted to research your own animal when we did this before half term. You can write about your own animal today too.

You might need to do a bit more research on your animal to know some more facts to include, that is fine too.

Here is a list from the video of what you need to include:

I hope you enjoy writing about your animals and have fun.

Don't forget to keep up with your AR quizzes and Reading Plus activities too.

Spellings

Today I would like you to go on WordShark to work on your spellings. WordShark is a great programme because you start off with a test that will help you see which spellings you need to work on. It starts off quite easy and then gets more tricky as you go through. It will set your level for you as you go.

As soon as you log in it should ask you to take the "Shark Challenge" - this is the test you need to do.

Please complete the test and then play some of the games for about 15 -20 minutes so that you have chance to get used to how it works.

We have our own portal link for this, so please use the link below, don't Google it because it will take you to the wrong page.

Collective Worship

Have a look on the "enrichment section" of the website to find today's Collective Worship.

PE

Today we are going to be Ninja Warriors! I would like you to have a go at the Ninja Warrior challenge using the link below. It has all the instructions you will need on it and will tell you what you need to do.

You don't have to put your time in yet though, just have some practise and see how quick you can get. The final deadline is the 11th March so take you time to get as quick as you can.

Science

Today we are going to start our new topic - looking at the human body. First off we are going to look at our teeth and what happens when we eat our food. Have a look at the two webpages below to start you off.

What happens to food in your mouth? - BBC Bitesize

What are the types of teeth? - BBC Bitesize

-Lesson Presentation Types and Functions of Teeth.ppt-

Now that you know more about your teeth, have a look at the PowerPoint below. You will need the information in the PowerPoint to finish your worksheet so remember to go back and check through it again if you get stuck.

For you activity we have an interactive PDF to look at. Hopefully this will work ok! I've put a link below that should help if there are any problems. If it really doesn't want to work then don't worry.
