Japanese week

25 Jun 2021

This week we have had a bit of a change from normal. We have been studying Japan and finding out all about this amazing country. We have been taking part in all sorts of brilliant workshops and had lots of fun. Everyone has really enjoyed their time spent looking at Japan and I wonder if Mrs Acheson will let us go there on a school trip now? wink

Our first workshop was all about Japanese drumming. It was loud, energetic and lots of fun! We really enjoyed exploring the different rhythms and even managed to combine three different patterns in our performance at the end.

Even our RE lessons had a Japanese theme this week, and Miss Blake taught us all about the way religion is followed in Japan. We also had a go at meditating ( a much needed bit of calm in a busy week wink ) .

To finish off the week we had a dance lesson where we learned the moves to a traditional Japanese dance with a farming theme.
