Gymnastics competition

A Breckon - 31 Jan 2020

31st January 2020

Having learnt all about the trenches, the children considered the feelings which would relate to living a life within them, such as fear and worry but also hope and how all these emotions would have played out in the trenches. We put these ideas into poems which we hope to make a display out of soon. Here are a few examples of our work :-)

In other areas of the curriculum, we've been practising a gymnastics routine for a few weeks now, honing in on the movements and body management elements we need to control and develop in order to perform a routine to the highest possible standard. On the 14th February we're holding a class competition on our routines and one of our school governors (who also happens to be a gymnastics enthusiast) is coming in to judge. We worked hard to support one another, work as a team and persevere.
