Collective Worship - Friday 10th July

09 Jul 2020

Good Morning everyone

Thank you for joining me for Collective Worship today. smiley

As you know, this week our theme for Collective Worship has been ‘Joy’.

Click on the link below to hear a story about being happy.

I hope you enjoyed that lovely story.

Throughout the week, we have spoken about…

What joy is! A feeling of great pleasure and happiness- that feeling when you just can’t stop smiling or jumping about.

How we are surrounded by the joy of new things in the natural world, and how we should take notice of our surroundings and appreciate them.

Which events can bring us joy, whether big or small

and how we can feel joy for another person.

Plus how we can make someone else feel joyful, often by doing something very small.

I have spoken to the children in my bubble about ‘joy’. Watch the video to see what they’ve said.

Let’s all try to spread some joy today, and also over the weekend.

Do something that you know will make someone else feel happy. Remember, it doesn’t have to be a huge gesture, it could be something small but thoughtful.

Let's finish with a prayer today:

Dear God

Thank you that you want us to be happy

Please help us to look for ways to make other people happy

Please help us to share joy and to be kind,

Amen

Thank you for joining me for Collective Worship today.

Have a lovely weekend.
