Have you ever lost something?
How did this make you feel?
We heard about a lamb that was lost in the story. He was probably hungry, and cold, afraid and lonely. But the shepherd came looking for him because he cared about the sheep and wanted to help. We call that showing COMPASSION.
Jesus told the parable about the Lost Sheep because he wants us to know that he is like the Good Shepherd who comes to the rescue. He will always show compassion and kindness towards us when we are in need.

Let us Pray...
God of compassion,
You care for us more than we could ever care for anyone.
Thank you that you sent Jesus, the Good Shepherd, to bring us back to you.
Thank you that you come and find us whenever we feel lost or alone.
Amen.
