Winter walks

01 Dec 2023

We have moved on to our next topic in English and we are going to be writing some poems all about winter, and as if by magic it snowed at just the right time! We went outside to look at the snow and to collect ideas to help us with our writing. The children wrapped up warm and took their whiteboards to record all of the things that we could see and hear, and even a few that we could smell thanks to the lovely aroma of lunch wafting from the kitchen. The children really enjoyed going outside and even managed to find the world's smallest snowman. I wonder if you can spot it in one of the pictures?

It was good to get back in the classroom and warm up again though, and we have also been finishing off our science topic looking at electricity. The children carried out an investigation to see which materials were conductors and which were insulators.

Hope you have a great weekend and see you on Monday .
