Fountains 10K

Dear all!
The Fountains 10k is returning this year on 22nd June 2025!
In order to run the race, we need over 40 volunteers to help put on race day with various tasks and marshal duties. I have summarised some of the roles below, with an indication of the time commitment each role is likely to require.
We will need:
* 16-18 marshals for both the fun run and the main race: on site from 9am until 12.30pm
* 6-7 car park marshals: on site from 9-11.20am
* 3-4 volunteers to man the race registration table: from 9am to 11am
* 1 marshal to drive the sweeper vehicle that follows the race to pick up anyone who is unable to complete the distance: on site from 10am - 12.30pm
* 1 marshal to drive the emergency moorland evacuation vehicle (must have their own Gator or equivalent vehicle): on site from 10am til 12.30pm
* 4 x goody bag volunteers to pack, set out and hand out the goody bags at the end of the race: we will need 2 x on site from 9am, and 2 x more from 10.30am until the end of the race at 12.30/1pm
* 4 x water station marshals: on site from 9am - 12pm.
* 3 x children and 1 x adult to remove the timing chips from runner’s trainers at the end of the race
* 1 x last runner to run at the end of the race to let marshals know when the last runner has passed their position.
* 1 x lead quad driver/runner to lead the kids around the fun run course (can be a warm up for the last runner if they fancy it, and think they can run faster than the kids!!).
If you think you can help out we would be very grateful! We really appreciate any help you may be able to provide, as we can’t do this without the support of all of our wonderful volunteers.
If you can only help out for a limited time window then please let me know and I can see if there is a role that may fit with the time you have available, or via a marshal “job share” flexible working opportunity!
