Home Learning activities for pupils self-isolating due to Covid restrictions and illness

For shorter absences from school, please try to work through these activities each day at home to keep your brain active:
  • Read your reading book and try to spend time sharing stories or information books with an adult.
  • Practise the spellings on your current spelling list. Each day, try to learn 2 (or more) spellings from the common exception spelling list.
  • Practise your maths KIRFs targets
  • Play board games to practise reading and counting
  • Please spend time practising your letter formation. Try to write the letters from each letter family in turn, to help you remember the patterns.
  • Do some creative work such as a drawing, painting, or make a model, based on our current theme.

If the school absence is going to be longer, then please use the resources below to supplement your learning through a wider variety of activities. When you safely return back to school, you can send email your completed work for us to share in school.
There will also be daily taks on this home learning page for children isolating for 14 days or in the event of a bubble closure.

The projects below are suggested for completion over a week - however they are likely to take longer if all the additional tasks and resources are explored.
