Turns and directions
In Geography we have been learning about giving directions and in maths we have been learning about turns. Year 1s have been doing full turns and half turns left and right. While the year 2s have also been learning about quarter turns clockwise and anticlockwise.
Make a route around your garden. Can you give someone else in your family instructions (using left, right, halft turn etc) for how to get from one object to another.
Reading
Reading practice book
All Year 1s have been given a reading practice book and Year 2s have a book from our Accelerated Reader Scheme. Please share your book with an adult and show them how we have been practicing reading with fluency and expression.
Talk about your favourite parts of the book, ask if there are words that you can't remember the meaning of and celebrate your success!
