This week in maths the reception children have been learning about all the different ways to make 5. They have used frogs and a pond with the song 5 little speckled frogs . Today they used beanbags and a hoop to see how many beanbags out of 5 they could get into the hoop and then how many were outside the hoop. The KS1 children have been working on number bonds to 10 and 20 and using these facts to solve addition and subtraction problems.

The KS1 children have started writing their own story inspired by the book Handas' Surprise.

They have been using some fantastic descriptive language . Well done everyone !
