Class 1 News
This week the KS1 children have been looking at fact families in numbers and even made up some of their own ! EYFS have been learning about number 6 and the numbers within it . They have also enjoyed learning about life in polar regions . All the children have been reading adventure stories and thinking about what makes a good story. Class 1 News
This week in maths the reception children have been learning about all the different ways to make 5. They have used frogs and a pond with the song 5 little speckled frogs . Today they used beanbags and a hoop to see how many beanbags out of 5 they could get into the hoop and then how many were outside the hoop. Happy New Year everyone! It has been lovely to see all the children back at school after the Christmas holidays. We have been talking about the New Year and things we would like to do more of. News Week 4
The children experimented witrh different types of printing as part of our art week. They printed with leaves , items from the classroom and stamps . They designed and created their own printing tiles using playdough and polysterene. In maths we have started looking at shape. Week 2 news
This week has been very exciting . The children made fantastic banners to encourage Sara Cox on her fundraising marathon run . They loved buying ice cream from the ice cream van and raising money through non uniform day and playing games run by class 3. We also learned about Remembrance day and the children made poppies which they shared in collective worship. Only one week to go!
I'm not quite sure how it has happened but we have almost got to the end of the year already. It really has flown by! We have had an amazing time and had lots of fun learning together. Sports Day 2025
Tuesday was one of the most exciting days of the year - Sports Day! The children had been training hard and working on their speed and skills with Mr Whitford in preperation for the big day, and luckily for us the weather was perfect too.
