Class 1 News
This week the children in EYFS looked at animals from polar regions and talked about differences and similarities. They sorted animals by region and read some lovely books about animals. KS1 children have contined to learn about the physical and man-made features of Grewelthorpe and found these on maps. In English they have been looking at nouns and adjectives and found interesting ways to describe the fruits and animals in the book Handas' Surprise . Have a lovely weekend e

Class 1 news
We have had lots of Christmas fun this week . The children loved the party, Christmas Fair and whole school Christmas lunch . I hope everyone has a really wonderful Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the new year .

Oh no it isn't
This week class 1 have been making shapes with straws and playdough. They had to think carefully about the number of sides and properties of a square and triangle. We had fun playing parachute games in the hall during a rainy playtime and also celebrated Letties' birthday . We have been practising our Nativity songs ready for Tuesday and look forward to sharing them with you then ! Week 3 news
This week the EYFS children enjoyed a snowy forest school session with Mrs Longstaff. In RE we have started learning about why Christians celebrate Christmas and about why we perform Nativity plays. In maths EYFS have learnt about numbers to10 and KS1 children have been comparing 2 digit numbers . Years 1 and 2 have been creating fact sheets all about pirahahs. Well done for a great week class 1.
