Christmas Fun
This week we have been finishing off some of our Christmas themed activities. We started off by going back over our work and looking at some of the wonderful ideas we had thought of for our Christmas writing earlier in the term. Then we started to put these together to make some poems about Christmas sights and sounds. Later in the week we made some Christmas cards to take home too. There were some amazing designs, and making these made us all feel very Christmassy. I hope yo

Then on Friday, we got to visit the Pantomime; it's been quite a while since we've had a whole school outing to the pantomime. Here we are getting into the spirit of things before our trip. Needless to say, they didn't need to say "I can't hear you" to this lively bunch - everybody definitely picked up tha

Printing fantastic
This week it's been art week - we always look forward to our art-focused weeks and the medium was through printing. The children experimented with different techniques to print; we soon discovered that printing is very difficult and isn't going to produce the crisp and polished outcomes. With that in mind, we aimed to create Christmas-card designs, using simple shapes and backgrounds but through a layered build up approach. After trying out printing styles and weighing up the
