We always look forward to art week and this time it was painting's turn to be our choice of medium. As with all art projects, Mrs Lyall (our art specialist) is on speed dial and is always keen to offer a helping hand. She came into to model how perspective can be created in a landscape by looking at the vanishing point

We were now ready to consider drawing some outlines of our landscape, with perspective in mind and began to paint them in Hockney's bright and abstract style.

It also turns out that Mrs Stavely is a dab hand at some winter Olympic Sports so she was keen for us to try out some curling, complete with brushes. The children thoroughly enjoyed trying out some new skills.
It's been an action-packed half term, as always, with lots of excellent learning going on. Well done Class 3 - enjoy your half term.
