Greetings from Bewerley Park - this is our dorm block. The boys have the front end and the girls have the back block. Unfortunately the inside is not fit for photography after looking like a suitcase explosion within 5 minutes of arrival 😉. We prefer it outside anyway, where we have a huge playing field and lots of activities to amuse us.

We've had an action-packed day. Everybody arose bright and early and started the day with a cooked breakfast before heading out for a day's canoeing. We paddled along the Ure together where we played some games, learnt how to steer and row together.

We then moored up for lunch

And continued down the river, where we were set some dares, such as crossing between the boats, dunking our helmets in the water and even our heads!

After we'd dried out, we headed over for dinner. Everybody has eaten well and made the most of 2nd helpings being on offer.

The tuck shop is helping drive England's economic fortunes and is making a roaring trade.

We've also had a go at the nightline, which is where one person is blind folded and at the mercy of their partner's instructions to help guide them along a roped route. They had lots of fun and learnt to take the command 'duck' seriously. All children completed the course (unscathed) and had lots of fun.

That's it for today; tomorrow we'll be doing a river scramble and having lunch before heading home :-)
