It has been a busy first week back in Class 1, with lots of new units of learning for the new half term. Year 2 have enjoyed their Guided Reading text for this week, about the Gunpowder Plot, and learnt new vocabulary 'treason', 'plotted' and 'parliament'...ask us what our new words mean! In English we have been looking at instructions - sorting texts into those that are and are not instructions and then practising using instruction language to help a partner copy a model they can't see.

In Reception we have been focusing on the number 5 and finding different ways to make 5 using objects. We have also looked at our first trigraphs - 2 letters making one sound - and worked hard to read words with ff, ss and ll in them.
