Exploring Money

This week we have been learning about a really important area with the children and we have been looking at money. The children have been looking at the different values of the coins, and then playing games to create different amounts with a partner. They loved the challenge of trying to see how many coins they needed and working out how to make the same totals in different ways.

By the end of the lesson they were all experts with money and they were able to solve the problems they were given very confidently. Wonder if they can now work out how to get more money for the biscuit fund in the staffroom?
