Trekking up Roseberry Topping

This week we were so lucky, especially with the weather which turned gloriously sunny as soon as we arrived, to explore Roseberry Topping. We've been studying mountainous areas and looking at the impact they have as well as the features around them, both human and physical.
We noticed that at a certain point on the hill, there appeared to be no trees and just moorland whereas below it was mostly farmland. We could also see Middlesbrough very clearly (thankfully not the football stadium) and even the coast of Redcar. It was amazing to see so many features and identify them on the OS maps and then use binoculars to identify them in the landscape.

And as the weather was so great, we decided it would be worth the extra push to climb up to the summit and admire the view. We had a fantastic time and got a lot of geography from it.
Well done class 3
