This week we had some exciting news - Sara Cox was going to be running through our village as part of her Northern Challenge, where she was aiming to run 135 miles for Children in Need. With that in mind, we wanted to make her feel are inspired as possible, give her that extra life she no doubt needed to carry on.

We began by designing posters with motivational slogans on and theming them around Children In Need

Then came the moment we'd all been waiting for, first the drones appeared and a few vans sporting Pudsey bears and finally Sara arrived, she headed over to our banners, thanked us and I think, felt that extra push to carry on.

The School council also set up lots of fun stalls as an extra way to earn money for Sara's mission, which we handed over to her supporters, who were out collecting with buckets.

And to top it all, we ended the day with a free ice-cream, which was a real treat.
