We've finished our newspapers and what an excellent job they've done with them. They've worked extremely hard to communicate the news story in a formal manner, with fact but interest as a focus. We're very proud of their work and presentation.
We've also been continuing our investigation as to whether Ripon ought to reconsider its closure of the railway station, back in 1969.
First, we invited a man from the Civic Society to explain some of the transport history of Ripon, including the canals and rails. He showed us some fascinating maps of old Ripon and how it's developed over the years. It was also interesting to learn how the original rail station was proposed to be not too far from the cathedral but was moved further out of the city after objections were raised about the pollution.

We also studied the older maps in close detail

By now, we were wondering what the actual residents of Ripon felt - would they like to see it back? Why? How do they use Ripon? To answer all of these questions, we had to go into the city to ask, so we made questionnaires to ask the residents their opinions

Despite the weather, there were plenty of people about and they were happy to answer our questions. We found out lots of useful information and drew bar charts to display the results
