Maths Superstars!

This week the children took part in a national times tables competition using the Rockstar Maths website.

It was a very close event and we are all really proud of how well the children did and how hard they worked to get points to move us up the leaderboards. Unfortunately when we first logged on we couldn't get on the site as their servers were down as so many children across the country were playing at the same time. We soon came back though and on day two moved up 4000 places in one afternoon!

Overall the school came 82nd out of just over 4000 schools nationally and we were 10th overall out of all the schools in Yorkshire, which when you take into account we only managed 2 out of the 3 days due to technical problems is a phenomenal achievement!

The children had a brilliant time taking part and the improvement in their tables recall has been amazing! They really were superstars!
