Welcome back!
It has been lovely to be able to welcome all of the children back after the summer holidays, and also to be able to say hello to lots of new starters in our class this week too. Everyone has really enjoyed getting back together again and playing and chatting with their friends.
This week we have started to look at our new topic which is "Rivers", and we have used our map skills to be able to locate some of the main rivers in the UK. We also followed the course of some of the rivers around us on Google Earth, and the children were amazed to find out that a little stream that runs through the fields on their farms could eventually flow all the way out to the sea!
The children have all be raring to go with their learning this week and their attitude and effort have been amazing - I'm sure we're in for a brilliant year.
