Yesterday we held our Children in Need day in school to help raise money for a great charity. We moved the event a day forward so that we could celebrate Sara Cox running through the village and so that we could give her lots of encouragement as she went past our school. The children loved making some posters to wave and they were brilliant at cheering her on, and lots even got high-fives from her too! This week we have been looking at maps and how to use them to find our way around. We started out by looking at some maps of our local area and seeing if we could use these to find some of the villages and landmarks near us. We also looked at the different symbols on the maps and thought about what these might stand for.
