Striking and Fielding at Outwood.

We started off our week in a very exciting way with a trip to Outward school in Ripon to take part in a striking and fielding competition. The game was very much like rounders and the children had to hit the ball as far as they could and then run around four posts before the other team got the ball back to the bowler.
The children really enjoyed the event and did very well! It was lovely to see how they supported and encouraged each other.
We also started our new history topic where we are finding out all about the history of Fountains Abbey. We creatd timelines to see where the abbey fits in to history and how long ago it was built. We then used the computers to reseach the abbey and find out what it looks like now.
