We have had a bit of a change this week and we have been looking at the art of Kandinsky. At first the children weren't quite sure what to make of the abstract style but they soon fell in love with the pictures we looked at.
We found out that Kandinsky loved to paint listening to music and that it influenced what he created. We had a go at listening to some of his favourite classical pieces of music and drawing what we thought the music looked liked.
After we had drawn some art work in our book we moved on to making digital images inspired by Kandinsky.
Our last step was to make repeating patterns in the style of Kandinsky.
It was lovely to see how much the class enjoyed their art and they have been amazing again this week. Hope you all have a great weekend!
