Bake Off!

31 Mar 2023

This week has seen the great Class 3 "Bake Off". The children have been designing and then creating their own bread. They loved trying out all of the different ingredients they could use (although not everyone was sure about the olives!) and thinking about which ones would combine well to create a tasty bread bun/cob/barm or whatever you want to call it - I'm not brave enough to start that arguement. wink

They also used their knife skills to prepare everything that they would need. There were a few scary moments but luckily eveyone finished the session with the correct number of fingers.

The final products were amazing and we hope you enjoyed eating them. The class were really sensible when using the equipment and I'm really proud of how hard they worked on their loaves.

On Monday we also had a netball competition for our yr 4s down at Fountains. After going a point behind the team came back and produced a fantastic 8-2 victory! The team's attitude was brilliant and they were a great example of just how a team should play - hard-working, encouraging, positive and competitive. We are all really proud of you for playing so well for our school and we have kept our unbeaten run against Fountains going this year. smiley  Thank you very much to Mr Whitford for helping us to put on the event too, without him it wouldn't have been possible.
