The day the pirates moved in next door!
We had to pretend to be Tilda from our story and write a recount about the pirates moving in next door. It was funny thinking about being someone else!
 

 
Fractions
We have started our unit on fractions and been folding lots of shapes in half. It was tricky making sure that each part was equal! Finding halves of numbers is easy if you know your doubles.

History
We were fascinated to find out that Sir Francis Drake was the first Englishman to circumnavigate the world. He was one of the best sailors and navigators in the world at that time. Under the orders of Queen Elizabeth 1 he attacked Spanish ships and stole their gold so he was a pirate!
